Role of Panchang in Vedic Astrology
Panchang which is also known as Panchangam or Panchanga in sanskrit is a Hindu calendar or almanac which is considered very significant in terms of Vedic astrology. Mostly it is used by astrologers and even pandits to determine and check traditional time system or format which indicates the correct representation of planetary positions respect to time, place and important dates with calculations mostly in tabular form.
Generally people use to refer the Panchang so that any important work can be complied in good mahurat (auspicious time) in order to get better results in long run. Some of the major and important elements of Panchang includes Yog, Nakshatra, Karranam, Tithi and Var.
