# Astrologer in Nagpur: what to ask before you decide

> How to judge an astrologer in Nagpur before you pay, what a proper consultation looks like, and how this practice works. Written by the astrologer, so read it that way.

The most useful thing you can ask an astrologer in Nagpur before you pay anything
is this: what will you tell me, and what will you refuse to tell me. Somebody who
has no answer to the second half is a problem. A chart has limits, and an
astrologer who will not name them is going to fill them with whatever you seem to
want to hear.

I am an astrologer in Nagpur, so read this knowing who wrote it. What follows is
what I would want a member of my own family to check before sitting down with
anybody, including me.

## Five questions worth asking first

**Will you look at my chart before you speak?** This sounds obvious and it is the
most common failure. Per-minute phone astrology cannot work any other way: the
person is talking before they have read anything. A reading should begin with
somebody having spent time with your chart, alone, before you hear a word.

**What do you need from me?** The correct answer is date of birth, clock time as
close as you can get it, and the town. If the time is unknown, a careful
astrologer will say the reading is limited and will tell you which parts are
affected. If nobody asks you for a birth time, you are not getting a chart
reading.

**What will you not tell me?** Length of life. Whether somebody will die. Whether
a specific person will love you. A guaranteed date for a specific outcome.
Medical diagnoses. These are the standing limits, and an astrologer who works
inside them is telling you something about how they work.

**What does it cost, in total, before we start?** Not a consultation fee that
turns out to be an entry price to a stone, a puja and a subscription. One number,
said up front.

**What happens if the answer is that nothing much is happening?** Some charts, in
some years, have no dramatic story in them. An honest astrologer will say so. A
practice that finds a crisis in every chart is finding what it sells.

## The two warning signs

Fear and urgency. Almost every bad experience people describe to me starts with
one of the two.

Fear sounds like: there is a dosha in your chart, something serious will happen,
this must be corrected. It arrives before any explanation of what the chart
actually shows, and it arrives with a price.

Urgency sounds like: this must be done before the next full Moon, this window is
closing, come tomorrow. Real timing in a chart runs in months and years. Almost
nothing genuine in astrology has to be paid for this week.

Neither of these is about astrology. They are sales techniques, and they work
because people arrive worried.

## What a consultation here actually involves

I read charts myself. One person, not a panel and not a rotating pool, which is
the main practical difference between this and the per-minute apps.

There are three ways to work with me.

A **focused reading**, at Rs 1,299, answers one question from the chart. Marriage
timing, a stalled career, whether a decision has support in the chart. You get a
written answer you can keep and re-read.

A **full reading**, at Rs 2,999, goes through the whole chart: the main areas of
life, the difficult stretches, the supportive ones, and the timing on each.

An **online session**, at Rs 4,999, is 45 minutes on a video call, on a booked slot. This is the right
one if the situation is complicated, or if you want to be able to ask follow-up
questions while I am looking at the chart with you. The current prices are always
on the [services page](/services).

Before any of that, the [kundli on this site](/new) is free, gives you a real
computed chart rather than a teaser, and does not ask for an email address. If
you only ever use that, that is a perfectly reasonable outcome.

## Language

Marathi, Hindi and English. This matters more than it sounds.

Nagpur is a Marathi city, and a reading is a conversation about the things people
find hardest to say: a marriage that is not working, a child who is not settling,
money that has stopped arriving. Most people say those things properly in the
language they think in. The national apps will hand you a consultant in Hindi or
English and both of you will manage. Managing is not the same as being
understood.

The written readings are available in Hindi and English today. A sitting can be
in any of the three.

## Nagpur, and whether you have to come in person

You do not. Most of the work here is written and reaches people across India, and
the sessions run online on a video call, on a booked slot, Monday to Friday.

If the matter is heavy, say so when you book. People often say the second thing,
the one behind the question they booked with, once the first has been answered,
and 45 minutes is set aside so there is room for it.

## How to reach me

WhatsApp is the front door and it is where most people actually start:
**+91 82371 07999**. You can send your birth details there and ask what is
worth doing, and you will get an answer from this practice rather than from a
call centre.

If you would rather not begin with a message, use the [free kundli](/new) first,
look at your own chart, and come with a specific question. Those conversations
are the ones that go best.

If you would rather read before you write, the [articles here](/learn) are the
same answers I give in a room, and the free kundli is on the same page.

## Questions people ask

**How do I find a good astrologer in Nagpur?**

Ask what they will refuse to tell you, ask for the total price before you begin,
and notice whether they read your chart before they speak. Walk away from anybody
who opens with fear or with a deadline. Those three checks remove almost every
bad outcome people describe.

**Do I need my exact birth time?**

It matters more than people expect. The rising sign changes roughly every two
hours, and it determines which house every planet falls in. A birth certificate or
hospital record is worth finding. If the time is genuinely lost, say so, and a
careful astrologer will tell you which parts of the reading are affected and which
are not.

**Can a reading be done without meeting in person?**

Yes. Written readings are delivered online and reach people anywhere, and the
45 minute online session runs on a video call, on a booked slot.
