The 6th house (Ari bhava, अरि) is one of the twelve bhavas of a Vedic birth chart. Known as the House of Adversity, it signifies enemies, disease, debt, litigation, service, maternal kin. It is a dusthana and an upachaya house, and its karakas are Mangala and Shani.
