Looking for an astrologer in Nagpur: what to ask before you decide

The most useful thing you can ask an astrologer in Nagpur before you pay anything is this: what will you tell me, and what will you refuse to tell me. What does it cost, in total, before we start? Not a consultation fee that turns out to be an entry price to a stone, a puja and a subscription. One number, said up front.

What happens if the answer is that nothing much is happening? Some charts, in some years, have no dramatic story in them. An honest astrologer will say so. A practice that finds a crisis in every chart is finding what it sells.

The two warning signs

Fear and urgency. Almost every bad experience people describe to me starts with one of the two.

Fear sounds like: there is a dosha in your chart, something serious will happen, this must be corrected. It arrives before any explanation of what the chart actually shows, and it arrives with a price.

Urgency sounds like: this must be done before the next full Moon, this window is closing, come tomorrow. Real timing in a chart runs in months and years. Almost nothing genuine in astrology has to be paid for this week.

Neither of these is about astrology. They are sales techniques, and they work because people arrive worried.

What a consultation here actually involves

Language

Marathi, Hindi and English. This matters more than it sounds.
