Career for Virgo rashi: which transits actually move work

If your Moon rashi is Virgo, your career house is Gemini, and the transits that actually move it are Jupiter crossing Gemini and Cancer, Saturn's long stay in Pisces facing you from the seventh, and the nodes leaving the Aquarius and Leo axis in late November 2026. That is the honest list. Everything else in a monthly career forecast for Virgo is filler.

Before any of it is useful, one correction. In Vedic practice, Virgo means your Moon rashi or your ascendant, taken from your birth chart. It usually does not mean the sun sign you were given by a Western site, because the two systems use different reference points and a Western Virgo is frequently a Vedic Leo. What March 2026 actually was

The page that used to sit at this address promised strategic success in March 2026, so it is worth putting the real month on record. Three things happened in it, and two of them touched work for a Virgo rashi.

Jupiter turned direct on 11 March 2026 at about 21 degrees of Gemini. Gemini is the tenth house from Virgo, the house of work and public standing, so the planet tradition associates with growth stopped moving backwards through your career house and started forward again in that month. What that indicates is something at work which had been stalled, under review, or waiting on somebody else since the previous autumn beginning to move. It does not indicate a promotion in March, and nothing in the sky can.

Three days later, on 14 March, Mars passed over Rahu in Aquarius, within about a tenth of a degree. Aquarius is the sixth house from Virgo: colleagues, competitors, subordinates, the daily routine, and health. Mars with Rahu is read as heat and haste, with judgement working less well than it feels like it is. In the sixth house of a working life that usually shows up as friction with the people you work alongside rather than with the work itself, or as a competitive situation turning sharp, or, just as often, as a minor inflammation or injury and nothing else at all. The honest instruction for that fortnight was to not send the reply the same night.

Saturn sat in Pisces throughout, the seventh from Virgo, which is the slow condition described further down and did not change in March.

So the month was your career house improving, your sixth house hot, and your partnership house heavy: a month for repairing momentum rather than for confrontation. That is about as specific as anyone can honestly be for everyone who shares a Moon rashi, which is what the rest of this article is about.

Work is the tenth house, and for Virgo that is Gemini

The tenth house in a kundli is the house of action and public standing: the work you are known for, your position, your reputation with people who are not your family. Counted from Virgo, that house is Gemini, ruled by Mercury, which also rules Virgo itself. So for a Virgo native, Mercury is doing double duty. It runs the personality and it runs the career.

That is not a small detail. It means a Virgo career reading is unusually sensitive to Mercury, to its position in the birth chart and to its retrograde periods, which occur three times a year and last around three weeks each. Tradition treats Mercury retrograde as a review period rather than a disaster. In work terms, it is a poor window for signing and a good one for correcting what was signed earlier.

The eleventh house, income and gains, is Cancer for Virgo. The sixth house, which governs service, competition, debt and the daily grind of a job, is Aquarius. What Jupiter has been doing

Jupiter changes signs about once a year and enlarges whatever it touches. Its recent run has not been a clean sequence.

Jupiter entered Gemini, your tenth house, in May 2025. It stepped into Cancer in October 2025, came back into Gemini in December, and stayed there until the start of June 2026. So the tenth house period was two stretches with a short break, not one block. Saturn there is not about your desk. It is about the people across the table from it. In career terms it tends to show up as partnership questions that will not resolve quickly, contracts that take longer than they should, a business partner who becomes heavier work than expected, or a client relationship that has to be renegotiated properly rather than patched. Saturn does not let you skip the step, so the useful response is to get the agreement written down.

Saturn moves into Aries, the eighth from Virgo, in June 2027, returns to Pisces in October 2027, and settles in Aries at the end of February 2028. Tradition has an unhappy name for the eighth and a good deal of fear has been sold around it. What it more usually indicates is a period of transition and unwanted change, particularly in shared money, joint obligations and anything inherited. It is worth planning for and it is not a catastrophe. Note the reversal. The partnership pressure does not end in June 2027, it returns for four months in the autumn.

What the nodes have been doing

Since the end of May 2025, Rahu has been in Aquarius, your sixth house, and Ketu in Leo, your twelfth.

Rahu in the sixth is one of the few nodal placements tradition actually likes, because Rahu is suited to the things the sixth house governs: competition, litigation, daily service work, and outlasting opposition. If the last year and a half of work has felt like a grind that you were nevertheless winning, that is the classical description of this placement. Ketu opposite in the twelfth reads as reduced appetite for visibility, and often as work that happens out of sight, at a distance, or abroad.

That arrangement ends in late November 2026. Rahu moves into Capricorn, your fifth house, and Ketu into Cancer, your eleventh, and they hold those places through 2027. The fifth governs intelligence, judgement, speculation and what you make rather than what you endure, so Rahu there magnifies appetite for the clever move and makes judgement about it less reliable. Ketu in the eleventh tends to drain the pull of networks and circles that used to matter. The practical translation is that the period which rewarded grinding it out is finishing, and the one that follows rewards judgement. Confirm the changeover date against a current panchang, since sources differ by a week depending on the calculation used.

What none of this can tell you

Which of these is your year depends on the mahadasha you are running, the long planetary period underneath the transits, and no forecast written for a rashi knows that. Two people, both Virgo Moon, both under the same sky, will have different years because one is in a Mercury period and the other in a Saturn period. When the period and the transit point the same way, work moves. When they disagree, the transit mostly produces frustration.

It also depends on where the tenth lord actually sits in your own chart, which is a birth chart question and not a transit question at all. Anyone giving you a career prediction for the month without those two facts is describing the weather over a country.

Should I change jobs during Mercury retrograde? Tradition treats Mercury retrograde as a poor window for finalising and a good one for reviewing, which for Virgo matters more than for most rashis because Mercury rules both the sign and its career house. In practice: interview freely, negotiate freely, and if you can choose the signing date, choose one outside the window. If you cannot, read the contract twice and carry on.

I am a Virgo sun sign. Does this article apply to me? Probably not directly.
