The 5th house (Putra bhava, पुत्र) is one of the twelve bhavas of a Vedic birth chart. Known as the House of Progeny, it signifies children, intellect, purva punya, mantra, speculation. It is a trikona house, and its karaka is Guru. It is also read for intelligence, creativity and romance.
