The 8th house (Randhra bhava, रन्ध्र) is one of the twelve bhavas of a Vedic birth chart. Known as the House of Transformation, it signifies longevity, sudden events, occult, inheritance, chronic ailment. It is a dusthana house, and its karaka is Shani. It is also read for transformation and research.
